Welcome to St Andrew’s Much Hadham

St Andrew’s Much Hadham is a Church of England church, and we enjoy the unique privilege of sharing with the Roman Catholic congregation of Holy Cross. We have a small daughter church, St Thomas’s at Perry Green; and we are part of the Ash and Quin Valleys Team.*
The primary aim of the Team is to help each of the churches flourish in its own community, in its work of service and witness to the love of God. We also aim to share resources and ideas where appropriate, to encourage and support each other, to grow in friendship and explore collaborative
ways of working.

The clergy of the Team are:

The Reverend Christopher Boulton,

Team Rector:

The Reverend Clive Slaughter, Honorary Assistant Priest, and The Reverend Stephen Fielding, Team Vicar.

Each of the churches has its own distinctive character but we are united by our faith in Jesus Christ.

*St Cecilia’s Little Hadham, St Mary’s Braughing, St Mary’s Furneux Pelham and Stocking Pelham, and St Mary’s Albury.

  • Freshly Minted Bishop of Bedford Goes Walkabout

Less than twenty-four hours after being made a bishop in a service of consecration in St Paul’s Cathedral, the Rt Revd Richard Atkinson will journey on foot through some of the communities of Luton and Bedfordshire on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th May.

During what he is describing as a mini-pilgrimage he will make a real journey, meeting people as he goes, as well as a spiritual journey, preparing for his new role. He will meet a Mayor or two, travel with a train driver, join leaders of other faith communities, clergy and members of churches on the way, visit schoolchildren and walk with shoppers, among others. He will encounter all these people as he makes his way, in stages, to his official service of welcome at St Paul’s Church Bedford at 4pm on Saturday.
